Charging On The Go

My husband and I are going on vacation in a few weeks.

A real vacation!

Just the two of us!

Can you tell I am excited!

It has been foreeeever since we went out of town without the kids, and I think this trip is going to be fabulous!

Like, sit around and do nothing and eat ridiculous amounts of food fabulous.

In order to do that, I need some backup.

No, not like moral support backup. Like extra power for my tech devices backup.

Heaven forbid I should have to charge my iPad before getting through an entire season of Arrested Development.

I told you it was going to be fabulous!

Maybe a vacation for your doesn’t involve planning how many television shows you are going to catch up on, but with four kids and feeling borderline exhausted, it’s what I look forward to most. And even if it’s not your ideal trip, traveling with kids can be wearing on your devices as well.

So, with my TV itinerary planned, here’s what I will end up packing for both my iPhone, and iPad. I decided to go with the Portable Power Banks by myCharge.

First up is the Portable Power Bank 1200 for the iPod and iPhone.

I decided to pack the Portable Power Bank 1200 charger because it has several qualities that I love. It is lightweight, sells for under $40, and can add up to seven hours of movie time to my iPod.

SEVEN hours!

It also has a built in stand so I can use it while my iPod or iPhone is plugged in, and an LED battery power indicator so I know how much power is left.

Last time I traveled without the kids I nearly drained my battery just checking in every few hours. With this little baby, I can add up to five more hours of talk time.

The other charger I will be packing along is the Portable Power Bank 6000.

All right, take a deep breath before I tell you the specs….

It will add up to thirty-four more hours of video time.

Oh my stars, I will never ever leave the hotel.

You think I am kidding, but I am not.

This baby retails for $99.99, and it packs a powerful 6000mAh battery that will recharge your smart phone FOUR TIMES. It will also charge an iPad or eReader nearly full as well.

The thing that sold me on this charger though, is the multiple USB connectors. It has a Micro USB, Mini USB, and an iOS port so you can charge all kids of devices. Since we have so many different devices in our house it is ideal for traveling alone, or with the whole family.

The Power Bank 6000 also has an LED power indicator, and a USB output.

Um… I don’t think they make a better charger than this one.

Someone must have know I really needed a vacation. 🙂
