Sarah Kimmel is a family tech expert, digital parenting coach and host of the Oh My Tech podcast. She has spent 25+ years in IT and cybersecurity, and she founded Family Tech LLC to help parents, grandparents and caregivers feel confident managing the technology in their homes. You may also see her work published under Sarah Werle Kimmel or Sarah Kimmel Werle.
Hi, I’m Sarah!
Technology is in my blood. My dad worked for IBM, Dell and more tech companies than I can count, and we had a computer in our house for as long as I can remember. I went on to become a Microsoft Certified IT Manager, supporting more than 100 small businesses, before turning that experience toward the place I saw families struggling most: their own homes.
I’m also a mom of two, which means I’ve had to use every parental control, phone plan and family tech rule I write about. Some of them worked. Some of them very much did not, and I share those too.
My goal is simple: take the technology that feels overwhelming in your house and make it manageable, one practical step at a time. No fear, no jargon, just a knowledgeable friend walking you through it.
Coming soon: my book
Screens Without Screams: Giving you the confidence to run your home like an IT manager, even without any technical experience.
More details on the release are coming soon.
