Whirlpool Bringing the Future to CES

Sharing is caring!

posts_0010_cooktop Next week I’m going to be on my way to Las Vegas to the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for the 4th time. I actually ended up missing it last year due to a family emergency, but this year I have placed a hold on all emergencies until after the show. One reason I love attending CES every year is to see just how far into the future we really have become. Some items shown are “concepts” which means the actual product isn’t available to purchase yet, but basically it’s in the works. Then there is the unveiling of brand new products! This is the most fun (except for the part where I’m so super excited for a product to come out and it kills me to have to wait until it’s release date!)

I usually spend most of my time in the “Mommy Tech Zone” for pretty obvious reasons I would say. One booth I’m super excited to check out is the Whirlpool®booth! I’ve always had a very real fondness for the brand, mainly because my maiden name is Werle (which is pronounced Whirl), and I was always called either swhirlee (and no, I’ve never been GIVEN a swhirlee) or Whirlpool® growing up. It makes me feel like it’s my own personal company, which if it actually was, I’d probably have a ton more money in my bank account right now.

Last year and this year at CES Whirlpool® has been concentrating on putting our future more into focus. The way they are doing this is by concentrating on three pillars which are Connection, Expression and Innovation.

Through building on our Connection with our appliances they are helping us to run our homes on our terms, giving us control and accessibility. They are doing this through apps on your phone where you can assign cleaning and other types of tasks to family members, and even sharing buttons directly on the appliances and a way for you to view recipes directly on the cooktop!

As evidenced by the plethora of cell phone cases available today, everyone wants to make their technology more personal. When I turn on my phone to a picture of New York City, I remember all of the wonderful times I’ve had in the city. Whirlpool®is showing us that we can even Express ourselves through our appliances and customize them to match our personal style, to further make our homes more personal and unique to us.

Lastly, it is extremely clear to me that they are taking Innovation to a brand new level by rethinking the products we use daily and re-working them to help us live our ideal life.

Everything is becoming technology based, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Once I get more of a hands on at the Whirlpool®booth next week, I’ll be able to write a little more about the actual products they are unveiling, but if their digital hub is even remotely accurate as to what I will see next week, I don’t think I’ll be able to wait for release dates on these products either! Four products, in particular, that I will be looking at while I’m there are the CoolVox Refrigerator, the Interactive Cooktop,  MaxArt Microwaves, and the Designer Duets.  One winner will be picked daily during CES to win a new Duet® washer and dryer even if they aren’t at the show and one lucky grand-prize-winner will own the very first Duet® Designer pair from Whirlpool®.
