I’ve mentioned before that we are a video game family. We LOVE video games. My husband is a total gamer (he’s actually playing his xbox as I’m typing this!). When I was sent Just Dance Kids to try out, I couldn’t be more excited. Plus my sister, the owner and creator of Super Healthy Kids, lives just down the street. Her boys are total gamers too. They are always trying to come up with ways to earn more video game time. They even use my daughter as an excuse… “but Maddie wants me to play!” While I knew that my daughter would enjoy the game, I thought the best reviews would come from her children (who are just slightly older than my own). I did not expect my niece to become obsessed with the game though! She is definitely NOT a gamer, and while her brothers are always playing, she almost never does. Ever since I let them use the Just Dance Kids game though, she has begging her brothers to play with her!
What my sister and I like about the game is that while it helps them get exercise, it also has very kid appropriate songs, lyrics and dance moves. My daughter at 5 years old is even able to pick up the easy dance moves. Just the other night as I was tucking her into bed she said, “tomorrow can we play the game with the song “oh oh it’s magic, you knoooowwww” and she started doing the moves from the game. My sister also said that next time the kids sing “Happy Birthday” to someone they will likely start to do the dance moves from the game to the song.
The game is a ton of fun, and you will love playing it with your kids, or even watching them play it. Enjoy this video review of the game featuring my sister and her family (with a brief cameo from my own daughter, please ignore the ragamuffin hair on her)…
Here’s the super fun part! I’m giving away a copy of the game to one lucky reader! Simply leave a comment on this post to be entered in the giveaway. As always limit one entry per person, and the giveaway will be open until Sunday, November 28th. Good Luck! If you just can’t wait to get your hands on it you can purchase the game from Amazon.com or toysrus.com.
