The app has a social aspect as well, and will show me what deals my friends have used or added to their deals. One thing on my list was some meal replacement bars. I rarely get the chance to eat a real lunch, as my job has been incredibly busy lately. Also, I’ve been trying to cut down on my calorie intake in general. When I went to add the Special K protein bars to my deals, there was a little padlock on it. I was curious what that was, and since I had already added a couple deals I knew the button to add the deal said “add”, but this one said “add privately”. That means when there is a deal with a padlock icon on it, you can add it to your app without your friends seeing that you have added it. I can definitely see the use for this for some of the more embarrassing items you may want to purchase. I don’t care who knows about my Special K protein bars, but some people might, and I appreciate that Target understands we may not want to share EVERYTHING we’ve purchased.
So there were 2 things I actually needed on my list, and then as I was browsing around the app I found some yoga pants that I have been wanting for quite a while. The Cartwheel is perfect for saving money on the things you were planning on buying anyway. All you need to do is scan the items you are purchasing with the app as you are putting them into your cart. The app will tell you if there is a deal available for that item, or not. If there is a deal, you can add it to your app right away, and keep shopping, scanning your next product as you go. It literally takes about 5 seconds longer to put something in your cart then normal. I would think 5 seconds of your time is worth saving some money! I purchased 3 items, and saved $4.15!
The app is completely free to download, and free to use, and it’s so easy, that it’s almost a no-brainer. Check it out and get saving!
Now, one lucky winner will get a chance to win a $1,000 Target GiftCard® from participating blogs. To enter, check out the Cartwheel app and leave a comment telling me your favorite deal from the app right now!!

I love that the Cartwheel app deals last longer and don’t require me to purchase a specific amount. I also love that they have offers for healthy food including fresh produce! It took me a little time to learn how to use it but now I always check to see what is there. My favorite was saving another percent off clearance on some shoes I bought for my toddler.
