Plug and the Paddywacks App Review

Oh my monsters! ┬áHave I got an awesome story book app recommendation for you! It’s called Plug and the Paddywacks, and it’s a new interactive storybook app for the iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone.
The app is separated into chapter downloads, and each chapter presents a platform for parents and kids to engage in important life conversations. The app and first chapter are free, and each chapter after that is just $.99. (You can also purchase the whole season pass for issues #2-10 for just $5.99 instead of paying $.99 for each.)

My kids loooooved playing with this interactive book. The vivid art is seriously captivating for kids, and the story is interesting, even for young listeners. I loved how the plot contained issues of how our environment and world are viewed. My kids also learned lessons on personal character and friendship.

My favorite part about this app was the music. Each chapter boasts an original song that can be separately purchased in iTunes. The music was created by the popular indie singer-songwriter Denison Witmer from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We downloaded the music after playing with the app and my kids love listening to the songs over and over again.

So how did Plug and the Paddywacks do with our tough app panel?

Straight A!
