Is There a Party In Your City? {Yo Gabba Gabba Giveaway!}

From all of the responses to the Springo Kids giveaway, I know that a lot of my readers love Nick Jr.  We love Nick Jr. in this house too.  I mentioned in my last post about how I’ve become obsessed with sweepstakes.  I really have.  I look for them after my kids have gone to sleep, and enter A LOT.  So I found a local sweepstakes about the Yo Gabba Gabba Live show that is coming to Salt Lake City in a couple of weeks called “There’s a Party In My City”.  I printed out the entry form, and my daughter (who is 5) was so excited to fill it out.  She wanted to go to the show SO badly.  She colored the picture and then wouldn’t even let me fill out the entry, she had to do it.  I’ve really never seen her color SO well as she did when she was coloring her entry.  She also got upset because I couldn’t find a pink marker at first too!  She wasn’t even looking at a picture of the characters when she was coloring it.  She knew what colors they were supposed to be.  As you can also see, she even added a little dolphin and some water at the bottom of her entry.  What can I say, the girl is obsessed with Dolphins.

I didn’t turn her entry in because I ended up getting tickets for me and her as part of this blog post/giveaway.  I wouldn’t want to win tickets when I was already getting them for free.  I did tell a little white lie that we won them though, so she could feel like she won with the entry she worked so hard to make.

I’m very excited to take her to see this show, though.  It’s one thing to see these characters on the TV and sing and dance with them.  It’s a whole ‘nother experience to see them live and sing and dance with them!  When we went to Disneyland this summer, and saw the Playhouse Disney live on stage show, the smile on her face and the excitement she felt was like nothing else I could describe.  She was in complete heaven.  It’s so fun to give them that experience and joy from time to time.  I work hard during the week, and because of that I can be a pretty sucky Mom during the day.  I don’t have time to play with her as much as I’d like to.  She gets to go out with Daddy all the time, but it’s hard for me to get out of the house during the day, so I don’t get to join in the fun!  So I can’t wait to have a little mommy-daughter date with her to attend this show!

Make sure you check out their tour schedule to find the Party in YOUR City!  I’m telling you right now, your kids will be SO excited to go!  Obviously I will be attending the show in Salt Lake (West Valley to be exact) in the evening, so try and find me to say hello if you end up going.  I’ll be on Twitter that night, so tweet me where you are!
