Young Internet contacted me about reviewing one of their new apps for kids, for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. I had never heard or Young Internet before, but with some research discovered they are Europe’s leading provider in safe, child-appropriate apps for kids.
Turns out, this app totally rocks. It’s called Grolly’s Animal Adventures, and is $.99 for the iPod touch or iPhone, and free for the iPad. The game includes the first chapter free, and additional chapters can be purchased within the app. Right now you can purchase the Africa Adventure chapter on the iPad for $3.99.
I tried this on the iPad, and immediately fell in love with the educational aspects of it. This app is literally a digital encyclopedia, teaching kids about animals all over the world. I loved how the animals were interactive and well illustrated. My kids especially loved the narrated section with information about both animals and plants.
Overall the app was easy to navigate and use. I found my kids were able to figure out how to use it without any assistance. That’s my favorite kind of app! So how did Young Internet score with out Tech4Moms review panel?
Great work! You can download through iTunes or learn more about Grolly’s Animal Adventure here.
