Father’s Day Gift Guide

Father’s day is upon us… even at the doors, and if you are anything like me, you haven’t even thought about what to get dear old Dad!  Whether it’s your own dad, the father to your children, or even that brother of yours that is just such a great dad you want to shout it from the rooftops, I’m here to help you get him a gift that he’s REALLY going to love.  Here’s a hint, it’s not a tie.

If the man in your life is anything like mine (or even my own dad for that matter) electronics are the way to his heart.  Heck, they are the way to my heart too.  Here are my favorite gadgets right now that are sure to help show him just how much he means to you.

HTC One – I have my video review of this already uploaded, but I just haven’t gotten around to writing the words to go with it.  I’m telling you though, this is the best phone I have encountered to date, and I get a lot of phones.  It feels super solid in the hand, the sound is phenomenal with Beats Audio, and the camera has taken some fantastic shots for me.  The one really stand out feature for me is that the camera performs extremely well in low light situations, which almost always seem to crop up when out on the town!  Sprint is offering $100 off ANY phone to switch over to them right now.  Plus you can trade in your old phone for up to $300!  You could walk away without spending hardly anything on a brand new device for dad!

Galaxy Note 8 – What I love about the Galaxy Note 8 is that first it’s thin and light, and travels great.  Many of the 10 inch tablets out there today are just too big to be of use when out and about.  I love using it as my day planner.  It’s the best for taking notes (with the S Pen, which sure beats trying to write with your finger).  If your guy needs something small to take to business meetings, traveling with, or just something to sit around and watch Hulu, the Note 8 will definitely fit the bill.

Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 500 3LCD Projector  – My husband celebrated father’s day a little early last weekend with a guy’s night at a friends house.  Everyone was to bring a TV and a Playstation 3 and they all got together and played video games (mainly to celebrate the start of E3, but I can convince you that he did it for Father’s day, right?).  This worked out perfectly with our brand new Epson.  It wasn’t a huge bulky thing to tote along to his friends house, and he probably got the biggest screen all to himself (projected on the wall).  Since he’s a guy, and his friends don’t quite understand what I “do” here, I sent him to the party with the express instructions to take pictures of the party.  Needless to say, I have no pictures of this, but picture 15 guys with their TV’s and Playstation’s scattered all around a house, drooling over my husband’s projector.

If these items are slightly out of your price range, you definitely can’t go wrong with some accessories to things he already owns, such as sport headphones for his smartphone, a gaming headset for his console games, or even just an extra controller so he can play with some friends!

Now, since I already own these things…. what am I going to get MY husband???

**Disclosure, I was provided all of the above products to facilitate my upcoming reviews of those products, I decided to include them in this gift guide on my own cause I really like them.  😀
